Here is Temporary Medal of Jakarta Popnas Contingent

The contingent from Jakarta continued to gain gold at the National Student Sports Week (Popnas) XVI in Palembang, South Sumatra.

We have won four gold, four silver, and five bronze medals

Jakarta Popnas Contingent Chef de Mission, Rahman Defiandi said that as of August 28, 2023, Jakarta student athletes had won 13 medals.

"We have won four gold, four silver, and five bronze medals," he expressed, Tuesday (8/29).

Dimas Wins First Gold in Popnas for Jakarta Contingent

He explained that the first gold medals were achieved in bicycle racing, swimming, artistic gymnastics, and taekwondo.

"Athletes from the Swimming sport and Artistic Gymnastics donated three silver medals. Then, one bronze medal was won in the Weightlifting sport," he explained.

According to him, the athletes' achievements from Jakarta should be grateful and appreciated because they have fought with all seriousness to make Jakarta proud.

"There were several sports we didn't win, but our athletes won medals because of the enthusiasm to give the best," he explained.

He hoped that the positive trend of winning medals could continue to lead Jakarta to become the General Champion of Popnas XVI.

"I certainly ask for support and prayers from the people of Jakarta so that our athletes can get more gold medals," he stated.
